In the foreword, Frank Mancuso Jr. talks about his communication with Giger. Preface is by Dennis Feldman describing his story and how it evolved, it even includes the short story Species is based on: "The Message". H.R. Giger talks lengthily about the creation process of Sil and Ghost Train. Steve Johnson talks about making Sil puppet. The stories are illustrated with lot of artwork by H.R. Giger, and photographs from the production of the movie.
